National Defense Minister Güler's 'dissolution decision' reminder to PKK: 'It will not be permitted'

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, and force commanders arrived in Şırnak to attend openings, inspections, and meetings.

The delegation was welcomed at Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport by Şırnak Governor Birol Ekici, 23rd Infantry Division Commander Major General Rıfat Dönel, Şırnak Mayor Mehmet Yarka, institution directors, and political party representatives.

National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Chief of General Staff General Gürak, and the force commanders proceeded to the 23rd Infantry Division Command to meet with unit commanders. Later, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and the accompanying delegation visited the Şırnak Governorship and the Şırnak Municipality.

Stating that the terrorist organization PKK/KCK must surrender its weapons immediately without any ifs or buts, Minister Güler said, "I would like to emphasize that your determined stance regarding our unity and solidarity is of great importance for the success of the new process that has emerged.

For this, it is essential that the terrorist organization, which has received instructions to lay down arms, takes the decision to dissolve itself along with all its extensions 'without ifs or buts' as soon as possible and surrenders its weapons immediately and unconditionally.

Any statement or action to the contrary has no validity. I would like to state once again that the sabotage or prolongation of this process will not be permitted.

Our ultimate goal is the end of terrorism, which is the common wish of our 86 million citizens, the complete liquidation of terrorist organizations, and the elimination of all kinds of threats against our country.
