The company providing the infrastructure for payments made to users in exchange for bottle returns in DOA recycling machines has changed. Payment transactions, which were previously carried out through an İş Bankası subsidiary, have been transferred to a new company linked to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s nephew, Usame Erdoğan.
PREVIOUS SYSTEM AND THE NEW ERA
In the system where users receive a 1 TL payment for every bottle they deposit into the machines, transactions were previously conducted by automatically opening accounts through Moka United Payment Services and Electronic Money Inc., a subsidiary of İş Bankası, and Emlak Katılım Bank. Following the withdrawal of the İş Bankası subsidiary from this process, a company named "LOOP" has taken over the operation.
The company, formerly known as "1000 Payment Services and Electronic Money Inc.," underwent a name change and became "LOOP Payment Services and Electronic Money Inc." The parent organization (owner) of this company is "Veridion Technology Joint Stock Company."
The organizations that have appeared in the partnership, fund, and investment structure of Veridion Technology from time to time are listed as follows:
- Albaraka Portfolio Management Inc. First Venture Capital Investment Fund
- Eko Mobile Applications and Digital Marketing Inc.
- TMC Technology Innovation and Consulting Inc.
- Bulls Portfolio Management Inc. First Venture Capital Investment Fund
Additionally, "Revomat Recovery Technology and Services Inc.," which is the largest supplier of DOA recycling machines, is also included within the corporate structure.
