President Erdoğan: 'Devlet Bey has this gallantry'
One of the periodic meetings between the leaders of the People's Alliance partners, the AKP and MHP, took place today. The meeting, where Erdoğan and Bahçeli evaluated developments on the agenda, lasted 40 minutes, and a sincere dialogue took place between the two as they departed.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli at Bahçeli’s residence.
Following the 40-minute meeting, Bahçeli saw President Erdoğan off to his vehicle at the door.
While no statement was made regarding the meeting, a humorous dialogue occurred between the two leaders when Bahçeli saw him off wearing only a jacket.
The President remarked, “Devlet Bey has this gallantry. I am wearing a coat.”
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan was accompanied on his visit by Presidential Chief of Staff Hasan Doğan. President Erdoğan and Bahçeli last met at the Presidential Complex.
