Pro-Erdoğan slogans chanted at August 30 ceremony in Anıtkabir

The 102nd anniversary of Victory Day, August 30, is being celebrated.

The Great Offensive, which took place 102 years ago today under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, resulted in the victory of the Turkish army.

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk at Anıtkabir on the anniversary of the great victory.

Following the official ceremony, slogans in favor of Erdoğan were chanted at Anıtkabir.

IT HAS BECOME A HABIT

In recent years, chanting slogans in favor of Erdoğan at Anıtkabir has practically become a habit. Previously, slogans for Erdoğan were chanted in disrespect to the Great Leader Atatürk not only during national holidays but even on days of mourning, including November 10.

CONTRARY TO LAW

According to Article 35, titled "Ceremonies," of the Regulation on the Execution of Anıtkabir Services, published in accordance with Law No. 2524 on the Execution of Anıtkabir Services: "At Anıtkabir, wreaths may only be laid and ceremonies may only be held to pay respects to Atatürk. Ceremonies, marches, and demonstrations cannot be organized, and wreaths cannot be laid for other purposes. Any attitude, action, word, writing, or behavior that does not befit the spiritual presence of Anıtkabir is not permitted."
