Public order and counter-terrorism operations in Şırnak: 50 detained
Legal proceedings were initiated against 50 people during public order and anti-smuggling operations conducted over the past week in Şırnak.
Teams from the Şırnak Provincial Police Department seized 10.61 grams of heroin, 3.68 grams of methamphetamine, 3,190 packs of smuggled cigarettes, 250 smuggled cigars, 34 electronic cigarettes, 46 items of merchandise, 16 kilograms of smuggled tea, and 10 bottles of smuggled alcohol during operations conducted over the last week in Şırnak and at the Habur Border Gate targeting the financial sources of terrorism.
While the narcotics and smuggled goods seized during the operations were confiscated, legal proceedings were initiated against 50 suspects.
