Remarkable call from İmamoğlu following the YENİ Party

The elected Chairman of the CHP, Özgür Özel, announced that 2 months after the absolute nullity decision, he would bid farewell to his party of 34 years, the CHP, and establish a new party. Removing his CHP pin, Özel resigned from the CHP along with 90 deputies.

Signing the establishment documents of the YENİ Party, Özel was elected Chairman by unanimous vote.

Imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made a statement through his lawyers following the establishment of the YENİ Party.

İmamoğlu's statement was shared from the official account of the Presidential Candidacy Office.

In his statement titled "The new generation of politics is calling out to Turkey, to the 86 million," İmamoğlu invited citizens to join a common struggle with YENİ Party leader Özgür Özel.

İmamoğlu's statement is as follows:

"The new generation of politics is calling out to Turkey, to the 86 million.

The Republic is the nation.

Democracy is the independence of the people, their free-thinking and free-conscience will.

Justice is the foundation of the state, the guarantee of its eternal existence, and the rule of law.

Our struggle is the struggle for the republic, democracy, and justice!

It must be known that...

The Presidential Government System is the cause of political collapse. The Erdoğan Government is responsible for the bottoming out in every field. The Republic has been abandoned.

We have gotten off the "Democracy Tram."

We have surrendered to the law of the strong and the judiciary of the palace. The result of this freak system is:

- Exhaustion in the economy, poverty, and bankruptcy.

- Inflation that cannot be brought down.

- Waking up to an operation every morning; living in a constant state of chaos and crisis.

- Dependence on foreign countries in agriculture and food.

- Reaching the peak in food inflation in Europe and the world.

- Being a country where 60 percent of workers and retirees receive salaries below the hunger threshold.

- Exceeding 35 percent in youth unemployment and being number one in Europe in unemployment among university graduates.

- Falling into a situation where your investors flee abroad and foreign capital does not even say hello.

- Hypocritical, deceptive, unaccountable government cadres who are captives of plunder, rent-seeking, and nepotism, and are far from meritocracy.

The report card of the Erdoğan Government:

- Those who do not trust the judiciary: 80 percent

- Those who say "They cannot fix or manage the economy": 75 percent

- Those who are not satisfied with education: 70 percent

- Those who want early elections: 65 percent

- Those who say "They cannot lower inflation": 70 percent

The emotional state of society is anger, anxiety, unhappiness, and hopelessness. The New Generation of Politics is a new beginning; it is not a preference, it is a necessity: The opposition, civil society, workers, youth, and women must stand up. It is the responsibility of the citizen to secure the election, the ballot box, and democratic rights and freedoms.

1 million Turkey Volunteers must see taking part in the struggle for democracy, preparing for election security and the day of the ballot, and being a soldier of this struggle as a sacred duty.

Turkey, with an average age of 35, must accept as its duty to end the freak palace regime that has expired, exhausted its energy, is trapped in an 1150-room palace, and is disconnected from the people, to send away those responsible, and to accept the democratic struggle as its mission.

Our goal is;

To build, with a great mobilization as a nation, a Turkey that draws strength from the founding values of the Republic; that upholds national sovereignty, the democratic Republic, the rule of law, an independent and impartial judiciary, social justice, science and technology, strong local governments, equal citizenship, freedom, fair distribution, and a prosperous nation that can compete with the world, and to establish the power of the people.
