Sales of products from famous furniture brand banned

Following inspections conducted by the Ministry of Trade, it was revealed that the Tayga brand's glass-flowered and wooden table models are hazardous to user health. Authorities determined through technical examinations that these two products violate regulations and contain risks that could lead to various injuries.

In accordance with the decision taken within the framework of the ministry's market surveillance activities, the sale of the aforementioned table types will be completely halted nationwide. Furthermore, it has been decided that products currently in stock will be recalled and destroyed through the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS).

Emphasizing that such inspections aim to keep consumers safe, officials invited citizens to be cautious regarding suspicious products they may encounter in the market. It was reported that those who have purchased the Tayga-branded table models, which are being recalled due to identified safety issues, can apply to the relevant institutions to carry out return procedures.

Within the scope of these measures, the ministry once again warned other manufacturers and sellers operating in the furniture sector to be diligent regarding compliance with standards and safety. Consumers will be able to follow current warnings and calls regarding products on the market via the GÜBİS system.
