Striking 'monkeypox' warning from Mehmet Ceyhan: 'The state must silence them'
Following the global alert issued by the World Health Organization, the successive reports of 'monkeypox' continue to cause concern among citizens. Mehmet Ceyhan issued a warning regarding the danger.
Infectious Diseases Association President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ceyhan made statements regarding anti-vaccination sentiment in Turkey and the monkeypox disease during his appearance on the program "Sansürsüz" (Uncensored) with Bengü Şap Babaeker on Halk TV.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ceyhan stated that the monkeypox cases, which are on the rise again worldwide, could also affect Turkey, and emphasized that serious measures must be taken against this situation.
Expressing that anti-vaccination sentiment, in particular, poses a major obstacle in the fight against epidemics, Ceyhan stated, "Eventually, monkeypox vaccination will be carried out. The state must silence anti-vaxxers now."
