Support from IMM for retirees living in risky buildings
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will cover 65 percent of the renovation costs for the homes of low-income retirees living in risky buildings and will provide 9 thousand TL in rent assistance.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Assembly took steps last week regarding urban transformation and providing support for the reconstruction of risky buildings.
The IMM Assembly unanimously approved the decision to provide support for reconstruction costs in risky buildings and to establish a joint service protocol with district municipalities for building inspections through rapid screening.
Sharing a video regarding the decision, IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu noted, "Let's ensure our low-income retirees living in risky buildings see this news. As the IMM, we are covering 65% of the renovation cost, and we are also providing an additional 9 thousand TL in rent support."
