Swimming banned in these provinces and districts

Recent adverse weather conditions and increasing wave heights along the Black Sea coast have led to temporary swimming bans in many provinces and districts as part of safety measures. Authorities have taken these decisions due to dangerous sea conditions to ensure the safety of citizens. In particular, strong northeasterly winds, high waves, and rip currents pose a risk.

In Istanbul, a swimming ban is in effect in five districts with coastlines on the Black Sea. Sea access has been restricted until August 10 throughout Beykoz and at Kısırkaya Beach in Sarıyer. While the bans in Çatalca and Eyüpsultan continue until August 9, swimming was banned only for August 7 in Arnavutköy.

In the Kandıra district of Kocaeli, which opens to the Black Sea, it is not possible to enter the sea between August 6-8. The Kandıra District Governorate announced that on August 9, due to adverse weather conditions, swimming is banned in all areas except for Seyrek, Kerpe, Kumcağız, Koanağzı, and Miço Beach.

In Trabzon, swimming is not permitted on August 9 due to wave heights reaching 1 meter and poor weather conditions. The Governor's Office warned citizens against the potential risk of drowning.

In the Vize district of Kırklareli, a swimming ban will be enforced on all Black Sea beaches between August 6-9.

In the Akçakoca district of Düzce, sea use has been banned on all coasts and beaches due to poor weather conditions.

The Giresun Governor's Office announced on social media that swimming is banned throughout the province between August 8-9 due to adverse weather conditions.
