As part of an investigation conducted in Silivri, Kubilay Akyol, who is alleged to have posed as a judge for a long time, and two suspects accused of assisting him have been arrested. While a large amount of evidence was seized during the operation carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) teams, Akyol's testimony given within the scope of the investigation has also emerged.
JUDGE'S ROBE AND VALUABLE DOCUMENTS SEIZED IN OPERATION
Within the scope of the investigation coordinated by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie KOM teams conducted an operation on July 24, 2026. During the operation, suspects including Kubilay Akyol, who is alleged to have posed as a judge, were detained.
Searches conducted at the suspects' addresses resulted in the seizure of 1 judge's robe, a promissory note worth 1 million euros, 285 grams of gold bullion, foreign currency, debt protocols, and various digital materials.
ALLEGED TO HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO CIMER YEARS AGO
According to information in the investigation file, it is alleged that Kubilay Akyol introduced himself as a "judge at the Ministry of Justice" not only in his social circle but also in his daily life.
According to the allegations in the file, it is claimed that Akyol used the parking area in front of the building in his neighborhood by claiming, "A bomb could be placed in my vehicle, so it must be in the camera's view," which caused a reaction from local residents and led to him being reported to CIMER approximately 5 years ago.
THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED
It was learned that Kubilay Akyol, one of the suspects referred to the Silivri Criminal Court of Peace, accepted the accusations.
Asuman Bakaç, who is alleged to have provided the judge's robe, and lawyer Halil İbrahim Alagöz denied the accusations against them, arguing that they were deceived by Kubilay Akyol.
The court decided to arrest all three suspects on the grounds that there is strong suspicion of a crime and that evidence has not yet been fully collected as part of the investigation.
"I HAVE A LIFE BUILT ON LIES"
It was learned that Kubilay Akyol, whose testimony was taken as part of the investigation, admitted that he also introduced himself as a judge on social media.
It was stated that Akyol said in his testimony, "I introduced myself as a judge on social media. I have a life built on lies; I just envied being a judge." This statement was among the declarations included in the investigation file.
