A certificate presentation ceremony was held at the Karatay District Mufti's Office Conference Hall for those who were successful in the 2023 2nd Term Hafiz Assessment Exam, organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), which is frequently discussed due to its expenditures and 'fatwas'.

The program was attended by Konya Provincial Mufti Prof. Dr. Ali Öge, Karatay District Mufti Musa İmamoğlu, Branch Manager Şakir Eğri, Branch Manager Fatih Coşar, Quran course instructors, religious officials, and the families of the hafiz.

The program, which began with the recitation of the Quran and an opening speech by Karatay District Mufti Musa İmamoğlu, concluded with the presentation of plaques and certificates following a thank-you speech by Konya Provincial Mufti Prof. Dr. Ali Öge.

It drew attention that the faces of the women who received their hafiz diplomas at the distribution ceremony were blurred when shared on social media. While no blurring was applied to the photo taken with male hafiz, the photos of the female hafiz were covered.
