The first three floors of a 7-story building located on Doğu Street in the Cevizli neighborhood of Istanbul's Maltepe district have collapsed. Following the incident, search and rescue, medical, and security teams were dispatched to the area.
While evacuation and rescue efforts continue at the site, initial reports indicate that 2 people have been pulled out injured. Istanbul Governor Davut Gül announced that 7 people are trapped under the rubble.
