Threat from Alaattin Çakıcı to HEDEP's Gergerlioğlu: 'Come to your senses!'

Organized crime leader Alaattin Çakıcı has threatened HEDEP Kocaeli MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, who told MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli to 'know your place.' Çakıcı stated, "You insolent man, come to your senses. If you have the guts, come face me." Following this threat, Gergerlioğlu filed a criminal complaint against Alaattin Çakıcı with the prosecutor's office.

Speaking during the non-agenda session at the General Assembly of Parliament, HEDEP Kocaeli MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu stated that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had slandered him, saying, "I return these insults and slanders to Bahçeli in kind. Insulting the people's representative is an insult to the people.

Even though Bahçeli had my parliamentary membership revoked by having his instructions followed by Mustafa Şentop and had me removed from Parliament during my justice vigil, I returned to Parliament with the 15-0 unanimous decision of the Constitutional Court; I defeated the insolence and oppression; we defeated it together with our people. You will hit the wall of law, Bahçeli! You will accept it, Bahçeli! You will know your place, Bahçeli," he said.

Organized crime leader Alaattin Çakıcı threatened HEDEP Kocaeli MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu in a post on his social media account.

The following statements were included in the post made by Çakıcı:

"The Kandil-affiliated Osman Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, an insolent man who does not know how to speak, included my name and asked, 'Why did you take a picture with the mafia?' Everyone takes pictures with everyone on the street. This is not a crime. You insolent man, come to your senses, and do not ever speak beyond your stature again.

You rabid jackals of Kandil in Parliament who have no heart; if you have the guts, I travel all over Turkey, if you are men, come and face me. Do you have the heart to talk?"
