Voting ends, Bahçeli heads straight to DEM benches: Welcomed with ululations

Following the passage of the framework proposal, which was enacted with 467 votes in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli went to the DEM Party benches and shook hands with Tuncer Bakırhan, Tülay Hatimoğulları, and Pervin Buldan. DEM Party deputies celebrated the passage with ululations.

The "Law Proposal on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration," known publicly as the 'framework law' and prepared within the scope of the second opening process conducted with DEM Party and the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, was accepted and enacted as a result of the vote held in the TBMM General Assembly.

The proposal, consisting of 12 articles, was accepted with 467 votes in favor, against 87 votes against and 7 abstentions.

BAHÇELİ WENT TO THE DEM PARTY BENCHES

A notable meeting took place in the General Assembly hall after the voting was completed.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli moved to the benches where DEM Party deputies were seated following the approval vote. Bahçeli shook hands with DEM Party Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları there.

Bahçeli also shook hands with Pervin Buldan, a member of the Imralı delegation and Deputy Speaker of the TBMM. The MHP leader greeting the deputies on the DEM Party benches was one of the striking moments in the General Assembly following the passage of the law.

SOUNDS OF ULULATIONS ROSE FROM THE DEM PARTY BENCHES

The acceptance of the proposal was also celebrated on the DEM Party benches.

While Bahçeli was shaking hands with the DEM Party deputies, the DEM Party members celebrated the passage of the law with ululations.

BRIEF STATEMENT FROM BAHÇELİ

Responding to journalists' questions as he left the General Assembly hall, Devlet Bahçeli said, "May it be auspicious and beneficial," when asked for his assessment regarding the acceptance of the proposal.
