Water price hike in İzmir
At the İZSU General Directorate general assembly meeting, it was announced that a 45 percent price increase has been applied to water and wastewater tariffs in İzmir, effective from July 1, for all tiers except the first tier. With this decision, water prices, which had seen a 25 percent discount in April, have now increased by 45 percent.
İZSU General Assembly held an extraordinary meeting today under the chairmanship of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality (İZBB) Council Deputy Speaker Altan İnanç. During the meeting, a decision was made to implement a 45 percent price hike on water and wastewater charges for usage of 0.5 cubic meters and above, effective from July 1.
