CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, while appearing on a program, criticized journalist Yılmaz Özdil without naming him, by referencing the term 'bidon kafalı'.

Following this, Özdil targeted Özgür Özel in posts he made on his social media account.

Özdil used the following expressions in his posts on the social media platform X:

"Buket Aydın's leader Özgür Özel, I will make you eat this slander of yours. Özgür Özel, who attacked me because I said 'He does not want an early election, he is giving the AKP an opportunity to recover,' I will make you eat this slander of yours.

Özgür Özel, the big brother of trolls who curse at honest journalists, I will make you eat this slander of yours.

'Özgür Özel, who attacked me because I said 'He is the first and only chairman in the whole world who does not want an early election despite being the first party,' and because I said 'He is making a special effort for the AKP to remain in power for four more years,' I will make you eat this slander of yours.''

WHAT DID ÖZGÜR ÖZEL SAY?

Participating in a program hosted by Armağan Çağlayan, Özgür Özel included the following statements in his 'bidon kafalı' jab, made without naming anyone:

Stating that one of those making criticisms had called voters "bidon kafalı" in past years, Özel said, "It is a good thing there is such a gap between him and me. He is the mentality that, instead of asking where we went wrong when we didn't get votes, calls the voters who didn't vote for us 'bidon kafalı'. In fact, the reason this party has become the first party for the first time in 47 years is the break we have made from this mentality."

Noting that he rejects the approach of challenging the voter, Özel said, "The guy is swearing at the voter or something. He tells it as if it were things never heard before, then the slander he throws goes viral, it circulates everywhere, then even your closest circle believes him or something. These people cannot live, cannot feed, cannot make a living if there is no polarization. Let the two sides be in constant conflict with each other, and we will sell bullets to this side or something.

Those who feed on the war economy. They are worrying for nothing. The process we have entered will neither solve all problems, nor end all debates, nor will we go and form a coalition with the AK Party," he said.
