Central Bank survey reveals year-end dollar and inflation forecasts
According to the CBRT's July Market Participants Survey, the year-end inflation expectation has risen to 29.21 percent. Participants projected that the policy rate would be at 37 percent in July, while year-end and 12-month dollar/TL expectations also increased.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has announced the results of its Market Participants Survey for July.
According to the survey, the participants' year-end consumer inflation (CPI) expectation rose from 29.14 percent in the previous survey to 29.21 percent.
The policy rate expectation for July was recorded at 37 percent.
An increase was also observed in exchange rate expectations. While the participants' year-end dollar/TL forecast rose from 51.47 TL to 51.55 TL, the 12-month dollar/TL expectation increased from 55.72 TL to 59.69 TL.
