The date has been set: Massive 7 lira 65 kuruş hike for diesel!
The price per liter of diesel will reach new record highs with a 7.65 TL increase as of midnight. Prices per liter in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir are expected to exceed 85 liras.
Fuel prices are rising once again due to the impact of uncertainty in global markets and increases in exchange rates. According to the latest information provided by industry representatives, a hike of 7 lira 65 kuruş will be applied to the price per liter of diesel. This expected increase will be directly reflected in pump prices.
Following the 2 lira 52 kuruş hike implemented on Tuesday, the price of diesel had already crossed the 80 TL threshold. Now, with the new hike to be applied on Sunday night, the price per liter of diesel will reach its highest level in history. The reflected amount will be seen directly on the signs, and sales prices in different provinces will be as follows:
In Istanbul, the price of diesel will rise to 85.12 TL per liter, while it will reach 86.25 TL in Ankara and 86.52 TL in Izmir.
According to the latest development, the hike is caused by the combination of volatility in Brent crude oil prices and exchange rates. It is stated that these record increases may further increase their effects on the market and the transportation sector in the coming days.
After midnight on Sunday into Monday, vehicle owners will face a higher fuel bill.
