Gasoline price cut on the way: But it may not be fully reflected at the pump
A price cut for gasoline is expected following the decline of Brent crude to 79 dollars. However, the full extent of the drop may not be reflected at the pump.
The decline in global oil prices has created expectations for a new price cut on fuel signs in the domestic market. Following the drop in the barrel price of Brent crude to the 79-dollar level, a price cut of 4 lira and 34 kuruş for the gasoline group has come to the agenda.
The price cut is expected to take effect as of midnight tonight. However, according to industry sources, it may not be expected that the entire calculated decrease will be directly reflected in the pump sales price.
Journalist Cemil Cahit Saraçoğlu stated in a post on his social media account that a 4.34 TL price cut is expected for gasoline, noting that a large portion of this amount could be transferred to the SCT (Special Consumption Tax) refund.

In this scenario, a significant portion of the price cut will be used on the Special Consumption Tax side through a mechanism similar to the Sliding Scale System (Eşel Mobil), while the remaining amount will be reflected as a discount on pump prices.
