Minister Bolat introduces market price monitoring application
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat has introduced a new application developed by TÜBİTAK that allows for the comparison of prices in grocery stores.
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat made statements regarding the "Market Price" application, developed by TÜBİTAK, which compares the prices of 50 thousand products. Thanks to this application, citizens will be able to compare prices across different grocery stores and find the most affordable products.
Bolat stated that the application can be downloaded via Google Play and the App Store. Emphasizing that they continue to combat exorbitant pricing, Bolat said, "We are effectively using technology to protect the fruits of our nation's labor and to fight against unfair pricing. We are developing new-generation solutions to create a fair market."
This application, a joint effort by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TÜBİTAK with the support of the Ministry of Trade and the Central Bank, is now available for public use. Bolat expressed that this application is an important step in the fight against exorbitant prices.
Bolat continued his remarks as follows: "Significant progress will be made in our fight against those who pursue unfair profits through exorbitant pricing."
