SCT revenues in the automotive market hit a record high
As the Turkish automotive sector continued to grow in 2025, Special Consumption Tax (SCT) revenues from motor vehicles increased by 46.38 percent, exceeding 655 billion TL.
In the first 11 months of 2025, the Turkish automotive market showed a growth of 9.63 percent. This growth was significantly reflected in the state's coffers, with Special Consumption Tax (SCT) revenues from motor vehicles increasing by 46.38 percent to surpass 655 billion TL. The 77 billion TL in SCT collected in November formed a significant part of this increase. Only 145 billion TL remains to reach the 800 billion TL target set for the end of the year, and this target is expected to be exceeded with the strong sales anticipated in December.
Experts state that despite the market growing by around 10 percent, the 46 percent increase in tax revenues stems from the rise in vehicle prices and changes in tax brackets. This situation has provided a significant increase in the state's tax revenues.
