Rainfall in Sivas boosts grain yield expectations: Record targets set for wheat and barley

ÇÇetindağ noted that the heaviest rainfall in the last 40 years has beenöobserved,üresultingüinüdamsü filling up, groundwater levels approaching desired levels, and stream flow rates remainingüçstrong,ü adding that thisömeans a "fruitful year" for Sivas çfarmers.çHeçexpressed that this situation signifies a "fruitful year" for Sivas farmers.
EXPECTATION OF AT LEAST A 30ÜPERCENT INCREASE IN YIELD

HARVEST STARTED WITH A DELAY

Wheat and barley üare produced on approximately 3 million 852 thousand decares of land in the province. Of this area, 2 million 339 thousand decares are planted with wheat, and 1 million 512 thousand decares are planted with barley.
