Rainfall in Sivas boosts grain yield expectations: Record targets set for wheat and barley

Heavy rainfall during the winter and spring months in Sivas has brought ühigh yield expectations in grainüproduction. Sivas Chamber of Agriculture President Hacı ÇÇetindağ stated that a positive outlook has emerged this season in termsçof both quality and yield for wheat and barley.

Wheat and barley üare produced on approximately 3 million 852 thousand decares of land in the province. Of this area, 2 million 339 thousand decares are planted with wheat, and 1 million 512 thousand decares are planted with barley.
