A new era in education: Lessons move outside the classroom

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) is creating a new digital platform to take students' educational processes beyond school walls.

Thanks to this platform, titled "Out-of-School Learning," teachers and students will be able to easily access various environments such as museums, libraries, and science centers in accordance with the subjects covered in class. Furthermore, through virtual tours and visual materials, these venues can be integrated as part of lesson content.

It has been announced that the platform will initially offer content aimed at preschool, primary, and middle school students and teachers. The system, which can also be used by parents, aims to make educational opportunities outside the classroom atmosphere more accessible and to make lessons more memorable.

Following the introductory meeting to be held this month, the platform is expected to be opened to the public. In this way, teachers will be able to enrich their lessons with concrete examples, and students will be able to move away from rote learning and acquire knowledge by experiencing and discovering.

With the new project, it is planned to gather out-of-school learning environments under a single roof and make them available for use by teachers and families.
