Second semester calendar from the Ministry of National Education: March break coincides with Ramadan Feast
The Ministry of National Education has shared the calendar for the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year with the public. According to the calendar, the second break in March coincides with the days of the Ramadan Feast.
With the work schedule published by the Ministry of National Education, the holidays and official days for the second semester of schools have been determined. The most notable item in the calendar is that the break in March coincides with the Ramadan Feast period.
RAMADAN FEAST COINCIDES WITH THE BREAK
According to the Ministry's planning, the second break will begin on Monday, March 16, and end on Friday, March 20. The Ramadan Feast also falls within these dates. While the eve of the feast falls on Thursday, March 19, the feast holiday will continue until Sunday, March 22.

OFFICIAL HOLIDAYS ARE DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER
Other official holidays within the second semester have also been clarified in the calendar. Accordingly, April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day falls on a Wednesday, May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day falls on a Friday, and May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day falls on a Tuesday.
ACADEMIC YEAR ENDS IN JUNE
The Eid al-Adha holiday will begin with the eve on Tuesday, May 26, and end on Saturday, May 30.
Classes in schools will conclude as of Friday, June 26. Following the academic year, a professional development period for teachers will be implemented between June 29 and July 3.
With the published program, all holiday and working days for the second semester have been finalized.
