According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The entire country is expected to experience downpours and thunderstorms. Rainfall is expected to be heavy in the northern and western parts of Marmara (excluding Edirne and Kırklareli), the Eastern Mediterranean, the southwest of Eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia (excluding Siirt), and the surroundings of Bingöl and Antalya, and locally very heavy and severe in the eastern parts of Antalya, the surroundings of Mersin, and the western parts of Adana.
Air temperatures are expected to hover around or slightly below seasonal norms in the western parts, and 2-4 degrees above seasonal norms in the eastern parts.
Winds are expected to blow from the north in the northwestern parts and from the south in other areas, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (40-60 km/h) in the Marmara and North Aegean regions.
YELLOW CODE WARNING FOR 24 PROVINCES, ORANGE FOR 4
According to the General Directorate of Meteorology's warning map for October 29, a yellow code warning was issued for 24 provinces and an orange code warning for 4 provinces. Provinces under the yellow code warning include Adıyaman, Aydın, Balıkesir, Burdur, Bingöl, Bursa, Çanakkale, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Hatay, Isparta, Istanbul, Izmir, Kocaeli, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Mardin, Muş, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Tunceli, and Osmaniye. The orange code warning was issued for Adana, Antalya, Mersin, and Muğla. Authorities have urged citizens to be cautious against risks such as flash floods, flooding, landslides, lightning, local hail, transportation disruptions, and the risk of waterspouts along the coasts.
