Heavy rain and wind warning from the Meteorological Service! What will the weather be like in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir?

According to the latest forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology, mostly clear and sunny weather will prevail across most of the country. While showers and thunderstorms are expected in parts of the Black Sea region and the northeast of Eastern Anatolia, a heavy rain warning has been issued for Ardahan, Kars, and the northeast of Erzurum. Citizens are also advised to be cautious of strong winds in the southwest of the Marmara region, the North Aegean coast, and the southeast of Eastern Anatolia. In Istanbul, the weather will be 31 degrees and partly cloudy; in Ankara, 31 degrees and clear; and in Izmir, 37 degrees with partly cloudy and clear skies.

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern parts of our country and the Eastern Mediterranean are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms expected in the coastal areas of the Central Black Sea, the inland parts of the Eastern Black Sea, the northeast of Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Sinop, while other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear. The precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Ardahan and Kars, as well as the northeast of Erzurum.

No significant change is expected in air temperatures. They are expected to remain around seasonal norms across the country.

The wind is expected to blow generally from northerly directions, light to occasionally moderate, and is expected to be strong (30-60 km/h) from northerly directions in the southwest of Marmara and the North Aegean coast, and from southerly directions in the southeastern parts of Eastern Anatolia.
