Efforts to combat the flames began both from the air with helicopters and from the ground.
The Fethiye–Seydikemer–Antalya highway, which is connected to the area affected by the fire, was temporarily closed to civilian vehicle traffic for safety reasons. While teams increased precautions both on the road and in residential areas near the forest, some houses were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
