Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum shared the 17-day data regarding the environmental mobilization carried out under the Deposit Return System (DRS). Kurum announced that thanks to the system, more than 33 million beverage containers have been recycled.

MORE THAN 2 MILLION PEOPLE REGISTERED FOR THE SYSTEM

Making a statement on his social media account, Minister Kurum used the following expressions regarding the DRS system:

"Turkey's environmental mobilization is growing! We have collected 33 million packaging items since July 1. More than 2 million of our citizens have registered for the DRS. We are protecting our resources and taking ownership of the future together."

According to the data shared by the Ministry, a total of 33 million 333 thousand 990 beverage containers were collected in the 17 days since July 1, when the application began.
