The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to share its list of "Adulterated or Misbranded Foods" with the public in an effort to protect public health.

Recent updates have identified serious violations in meatballs, sucuk (Turkish sausage), and minced meat. The producers of these health-threatening food products have been exposed.

SOY IN MEATBALLS

In the list published by the Ministry, it was announced that soy was found in boiled meatballs belonging to the Kazan Köfte (EM SA Gurme Gıda San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti.) brand. This situation has shaken consumer confidence by revealing that the meatballs contained additives other than meat products.

PORK SCANDAL HAD ALSO EMERGED PREVIOUSLY

Food scandals are not new. In the past, pork was detected in the doner and meatballs of a famous meatball brand, Yusuf, a situation that was debated by the public for a long time.

With these latest developments, the prevalence of food fraud has once again been brought to light.

Among the other foods exposed by the Ministry, it was determined that horse and deer meat were mixed into minced meat, and heart tissue was added to raw Adana kebab.
