Prosecutor Horst Nopens said, "The suspect did not make a direct confession, but his past statements and behavior point to such a motivation."
'ACCUSED GERMAN AUTHORITIES OF OPPRESSION'
It was determined that Taleb A., of Saudi origin, who has been living in Germany since 2006, had openly rejected the Islamic religion and organized campaigns for Saudi refugees. Furthermore, it was announced that the suspect had made statements accusing German authorities and the police of "oppression" and had recently directed harsh criticisms toward officials.
