'Dalton gang' operation in İzmir

6 suspects were captured in an operation targeting the 'Dalton' gang in İzmir. 3 of the detained suspects were arrested and sent to prison.

An investigation was launched by the Aliağa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the armed attack with long-barreled weapons that took place at a gas station in the Çaltılıdere neighborhood of İzmir's Aliağa district on the night of December 3.

As a result of joint efforts by the İzmir Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Gendarmerie Criminal Investigation Teams (JASAT), the Aliağa District Gendarmerie Command, and the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), it was determined that the attack was carried out by members of the criminal gang also known as the 'Daltons'.

It was also determined that the gang members had carried out armed actions in many provinces, primarily in İzmir, Istanbul, and Kayseri.

The 6 detained suspects were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie were completed. 3 of the suspects were arrested by the court they were brought before. The other 3 individuals were released under judicial control conditions.
