Double murder in Fatih! What was found in the killer's home is shocking

It has been determined that Semih Çelik, who committed suicide by jumping from the city walls in Fatih, had previously murdered two women in two separate districts.

According to a statement from the Istanbul Police Department, police teams have launched an investigation into the suicide of an individual who jumped from the city walls in Fatih.

As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect, identified as S.Ç. (19), died by suicide after jumping from the city walls, and that prior to the suicide, he had murdered A.H. (19) in Eyüpsultan at approximately 15:30 and I.U. (19) in Fatih at approximately 16:00 yesterday.

RECEIVED TREATMENT 5 TIMES

According to the information obtained, it was determined that the suspect, who is a butcher by profession, had received hospital treatment 5 times this year due to mental illness, had been reported missing twice, and had a record of one attempted suicide.

TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HIS FAMILY NOT BEING HOME

The suspect was left alone at home in Eyüpsultan after his family, with whom he lived, left the city to take his sister to university. The suspect, who killed his ex-girlfriend A.H. by decapitating her, later met with his new girlfriend I.U. in Fatih.

The suspect, who also decapitated and dismembered the body of I.U., whom he had climbed to the top of the city walls with, committed suicide following the incident.

Following the suspect's suicide, extensive security measures were taken at the scene by police teams.

Teams climbed the city walls using a fire department ladder dispatched to the scene to search for the remains of I.U., whom the suspect had killed there.

It was determined that the suspect had dismembered the body, leaving some parts on top of the wall and throwing others down; the body was subsequently reassembled.

Meanwhile, police teams conducted a detailed investigation at the house where the suspect committed the first murder.

While the body of the victim, A.H., was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute, the suspect's father was questioned. The father stated that his son had previously received treatment for psychological issues.

On the other hand, during the searches conducted in the house, a charcoal drawing matching the dismembered body of the victim, I.U., was seized from the suspect's room.

While no findings have yet been encountered regarding why the suspect committed the murders, it was determined that both of the murdered girls were students.

An investigation into the incident has been launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

PUBLICATION BAN

In line with the request of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a publication ban has been issued by the Istanbul 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace.

The body of Ayşenur Halil was received by her relatives following the autopsy performed at the Council of Forensic Medicine.
