Serdar Ortaç appears in court: Prosecutor seeks up to 3 years in prison!
The trial of famous singer Serdar Ortaç, who was detained as part of an illegal betting operation in Istanbul, was held today with a request for up to 3 years in prison. The court panel rejected Mehmet Ali Erbil's request to testify.
The first hearing of the case in which Serdar Ortaç is being tried for 'advertising and encouraging illegal betting' was held today at the 25th Criminal Court of First Instance at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
The prosecutor presented their opinion in the trial of the famous singer Serdar Ortaç, who faces up to 3 years in prison for 'encouraging illegal betting or games of chance.' The prosecutor requested that Ortaç be punished.
While Serdar Ortaç arrived at the courthouse with his lawyer, Mehmet Ali Erbil was also present at the courthouse in the morning hours.
The court, which lifted the judicial control decision regarding Serdar Ortaç, adjourned the hearing to February 25.
