In the Nazilli district of Aydın, an argument between relatives reportedly over "chestnut pinecones" has ended in death. In the incident that took place in Kaşıkçılar Neighborhood, 57-year-old İsmail Kılıç, the former headman of Çatak Neighborhood, lost his life.
It was learned that the incident occurred yesterday around 20:00. According to allegations, an argument broke out between Kılıç and his 70-year-old cousin, N.A., because chestnut pinecones from Kılıç's field were falling into N.A.'s field.

It was claimed that as the argument escalated, Kılıç pulled a handgun on N.A. Following this, it was alleged that N.A. left the scene, returned with a rifle, and fired at Kılıç. Kılıç, who was shot in the back, was seriously injured.
It was stated that N.A.'s son, who heard the gunshots, notified medical teams. İsmail Kılıç, who was taken to Nazilli State Hospital by ambulance, could not be saved despite the doctors' interventions.

Following the incident, gendarmerie teams launched an operation to capture the suspect, N.A. N.A. was caught and taken into custody in the wooded area where he was hiding. It was reported that the suspect's procedures at the gendarmerie are continuing.
