They ensnared them with massage parlor ads: 6 people arrested for forcing women into prostitution

A gang that prepared fake advertisements for women to work in massage parlors in Istanbul defrauded numerous women and forced them into illegal activities. As part of a long-term investigation launched by the Moral Bureau of the Public Security Branch, it was determined that prostitution was being conducted in the parlors and that women were being deceived and lured into the trap.

The suspects would gain the trust of women who applied with promises of high earnings, and then apply pressure to force them into prostitution. Investigations revealed that large loans were taken out in the names of some victims, thereby indebting them and making it impossible for them to leave the job.

Police work also uncovered that the suspects found customers by creating profiles on internet platforms using fake photos of women.

Following a three-month technical and physical surveillance operation, 6 people were arrested and proceedings were initiated against them for the crimes of "encouraging, mediating, or providing a place for prostitution." The suspects, whose interrogations were completed, were referred to the courthouse.
