Kadir İnanır's inheritance revealed: He left behind a multi-million fortune
Following the passing of Kadir İnanır on June 27, the details of the fortune left behind by the artist have emerged during the inheritance process. The total value of the estate, which consists of real estate, bank accounts, valuables, a frog figurine collection, and royalty income, amounts to hundreds of millions of liras.
Following the death of master Turkish cinema actor Kadir İnanır on June 27 at the age of 77, the legal process regarding the inheritance he left behind continues. The revelation that İnanır had bequeathed the majority of his assets to his partner of 27 years, Jülide Kural, in his will has sparked a dispute within the family.
İnanır, who had no children or siblings, left a will that excluded his nieces and nephews from receiving a share of the inheritance, leading them to take their objections to court. While the hearing regarding the will has been postponed to December 17, details about the fortune the artist left behind have also come to the fore.
KADİR İNANIR'S INHERITANCE
According to a report by Gökhan Gökduman from Sabah, Kadir İnanır's inheritance consists of various items ranging from real estate to valuables, private collections, royalty income, and cash in bank accounts.
The main components of the artist's estate are as follows:
Real Estate: It was stated that the total value of the properties located in Istanbul, Ordu, and summer resort areas is 650 million liras.
Luxury watches and valuables: It was reported that İnanır's collection includes more than 25 luxury watches, as well as gold lighters, rings, and pens, with a total value of 50 million TL.
Frog figurine collection: It was noted that İnanır, who collected more than 3 thousand frog figurines from different parts of the world over the years, had many unique and custom-designed pieces in his collection. It was learned that the total value of the collection is 35 million TL.
Royalty income: It was stated that royalty income will continue to be generated from the works of İnanır, who starred in 182 films and 12 television series throughout his life, for 70 years after his death. It was reported that the average annual royalty income would be 10 million TL.
Bank accounts: It is estimated that there is more than 200 million TL in cash in the artist's deposit accounts. It was also stated that İnanır had various other financial transactions.
Lawyer Hikmet Altun Kalem announced that there are 28 heirs in the inheritance process.
The artist's nephew, Levent İnanır, stated that some heirs could not be reached due to reasons such as address changes and travel, and that the missing procedures would be completed.
WILL CREATES DISPUTE WITHIN THE FAMILY
In his final will, İnanır left the majority of his assets and collections to Jülide Kural, with whom he had shared his life for many years. The content of the will has caused objections from the artist's relatives.
Levent İnanır demanded clarification on why his uncle changed his will. Arguing that the final arrangements in the will were made during a period when the artist was experiencing health problems, İnanır stated that they would pursue legal action.
Claiming that the family was not left a share of the inheritance, Levent İnanır said, "My uncle didn't even leave us a wristwatch or a tie."
Stating that their objections were not based solely on economic reasons, İnanır said they believe the family has been completely excluded from the inheritance. However, these statements do not constitute a finalized court decision regarding the validity of the will.
THREAT MESSAGE ALLEGATION ADDED TO INHERITANCE DISPUTE
Levent İnanır's statements regarding his uncle's decision-making capacity were met with a reaction from his ex-wife, Neslihan Acar.
Acar stated that Kadir İnanır defended the values he believed in throughout his life and is remembered for his determined stance and the support he provided to those around him.
Following the discussions, a screenshot of a message allegedly belonging to Levent İnanır was shared on social media. Neslihan Acar announced that she received a threat message via an old photograph of hers and that the message was sent to her 77-year-old mother.
Acar's daughter, Öykü Arıca, also reacted to the situation in a post on her social media account.
No information regarding a finalized judicial decision has been shared concerning the allegations about the source and content of the message.
WILL STATEMENT FROM JÜLİDE KURAL
Making a statement following the discussions, Jülide Kural stated that she wants to grieve in peace and called for respect for Kadir İnanır's will.
Expressing that İnanır supported his family throughout his life, Kural said that the process regarding the will would proceed within the framework of the law.
In her statement, Kural said, "Let us never lose a language worthy of Kadir."
The process regarding the disclosure of the will is expected to continue at the hearing to be held on December 17, after the missing notifications are completed.
