105 demonstrations held in 54 cities in Morocco in support of Gaza
According to a written statement by the Moroccan non-governmental organization, the Authority for Supporting Issues of the Ummah, demonstrations in support of Gaza were held at 105 separate locations across 54 cities in a single day.
In cities such as Casablanca, Kenitra, Sefrou, El Jadida, Safi, and Agadir in Morocco, demonstrations were held to condemn the genocide committed by Israel against civilians in Gaza, as well as the silence and support of Western countries regarding these massacres.
The protesters called on Moroccan authorities to take a position supporting the Palestinian people and to step back from the normalization agreement with Israel.
THEY WILL CONTINUE TO PROTEST
The protesters stated that they would continue to hold demonstrations until the war in Gaza stops and the Palestinians achieve their fair and legitimate rights.
Morocco and Israel signed a normalization agreement on December 10, 2020, which provided for the resumption of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel in exchange for Israel's recognition of Morocco's sovereignty over Western Sahara.
