Armed attack at Istanbul Bazaar: 4 people dead
Four people lost their lives and one person was injured in an armed attack at a bazaar named 'Istanbul' in the city of Rustavi, Georgia. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
A gunman wreaked havoc at a bazaar named 'Istanbul' in the city of Rustavi, located 20 kilometers from Georgia's capital, Tbilisi.
According to a statement from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the 36-year-old attacker opened fire in the bazaar, killing 4 people and injuring 1.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The attacker was apprehended by police in a pharmacy and taken into custody.
It was stated that one of the deceased was the attacker's uncle, and the injured person was his cousin.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
