Italian director Paolo Taviani has passed away
Renowned Italian director and Palme d'Or winner Paolo Taviani has passed away at the age of 92.
World-renowned Italian director Paolo Taviani passed away yesterday.
The news of 92-year-old Taviani's death was announced by Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri on his social media account.
Gualtieri stated, "One of the great masters of Italian cinema has left us. Together with his brother Vittorio, they created unforgettable, profound films that entered the history of cinema."
The director won the Palme d'Or with his 1977 film 'Padre Padrone'.
