Seda Fettahoğlu remembered! A confession from her cousin Ayşe Tolga

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres held a memorial ceremony at the Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage Foyer for Seda Fettahoğlu, who passed away recently (September 27, 2023).

According to the report on 12punto.com.tr; at the memorial ceremony hosted by Tolga Yeter, the artist's family, friends, and City Theatres artists took the stage. They recounted how they met Seda Fettahoğlu, spoke of their friendships, and shared their memories.

The memorial ceremony was attended by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres General Artistic Director Ayşegül İşsever, Deputy General Artistic Directors Can Başak and Emrah Özertem, as well as the artist's family and City Theatres artists.

'SHE BECAME THE DAUGHTER OF THIS HOUSE'

Speaking at the ceremony, General Artistic Director Ayşegül İşsever said, "Our condolences to us all. The loss of someone so close to us is very sad. I first watched Seda in Numan.net. I found her very beautiful with her huge smile and energy, and I congratulated her. Seda became the daughter of this house. Many actors come and go, but very few deserve to be the daughter of the house. That is why this memorial was inevitable. Not being able to bid her farewell from here weighed heavily on us. Life must have weighed heavily on her. I am very sad about this heavy loss. We have lost a very special person."

'WE COULD NOT HEAR HER CRY FOR HELP'

Speaking on behalf of the artist's family, Ayşe Tolga stated, "She was the youngest in our family, a girl full of joy. We had been very close since she came to Istanbul. Even when she was closest to us, we could not hear her cry for help."

Those who spoke expressed that Seda Fettahoğlu never hurt anyone, never got angry, was always a cheerful person, strove to be part of the solution rather than the problem, and made an extraordinary effort to make everyone's life more beautiful. Her childhood friends, colleagues who shared the same stage, and family all spoke in every memory of Seda's consistently optimistic and affectionate demeanor.

The ceremony concluded with the artists writing their feelings and thoughts in the memorial book.
