Financial advisor Zümrüt Yerebakan, who had an arrest warrant issued against her in the investigation into Dilan and Engin Polat, who were arrested on charges of money laundering, was released after giving her testimony with a travel ban imposed.
The statements made by the financial advisor, who was questioned as part of the Polat case, drew attention.
It emerged that Engin Polat and other company employees held a meeting following the MASAK report. It was revealed that after the report was projected onto a screen during the meeting, Attorney Ahmet Gün said, "Only a tax penalty will come out of this."
The statements made in the prosecutor's testimony by Zümrüt Yerebakan, who said a meeting was held at the company after the MASAK report came to light, were notable.
'ENGIN POLAT WAS VERY RELAXED'
Yerebakan stated, "At the meeting, they projected the MASAK report onto a screen using a projector. The report was quickly reviewed page by page. And in the end, a decision was reached that only a tax penalty would be imposed. Since there were no liens or injunctions on the vehicles yet, conversations were held regarding the transfer of the vehicles to others. During these conversations, Engin Polat was relaxed.
Checks were being issued from the Polats' company in Ataşehir. After Ahmet Gün took his own commission from these check amounts, the money subject to the checks would return to the Polats and be laundered by entering the system through real estate. After the investigations began, Ahmet Gün and other individuals prepared the testimonies they would give in writing. They put what needed to be said into texts," she said.
Attorney Ahmet Gün, who is being tried while in custody, expressed to the prosecutor's office that he wanted to become a whistleblower.

RELEASE REQUEST DENIED
However, the prosecutor's office, not finding Gün's explanations sufficient, rejected the request for release.
Within the scope of the investigation, 12 suspects, including Engin Polat, Dilan Polat, and family members, were arrested.
