The Ministry of Family and Social Services announced that the necessary procedures have been initiated to place the 14-year-old girl who gave birth in Zonguldak and her baby under state protection once their health checks are completed.
In a statement made by the Ministry, it was noted that reports appeared in some media outlets stating that a "14-year-old girl gave birth in Zonguldak."
The statement, which indicated that the Zonguldak Provincial Directorate teams took immediate action upon the incident being reported to law enforcement units, included the following:
"Necessary procedures have been initiated to place the 14-year-old girl and her newborn baby under state protection as soon as their health checks at the hospital are completed. The suspect detained in connection with the incident has been arrested and sent to prison. As a ministry, we are intervening in the legal process and will closely follow the case to ensure the perpetrator receives the harshest possible sentence."
