Amedspor's victory celebration turns into a fire: 3 businesses damaged, firefighter injured

In the Cizre district of Şırnak, fireworks set off during celebrations following the 3-2 victory of the Diyarbakır representative Amed Sportif Faaliyetler against Beşiktaş caused a fire. The incidents resulted in damage to 3 businesses and 1 parked vehicle.

Following the match played in the 6th week of the Trendyol Süper League, a large number of fans took to the streets in Cizre. Fires broke out at different locations after fireworks ignited during the celebrations hit surrounding businesses and a vehicle.

Fire crews were dispatched to the area upon notification. The teams struggled to move through the celebrating crowd while intervening in the flames. During the firefighting efforts, a firefighter was injured when a firework that went out of control struck him in the face.

The injured firefighter was taken to Cizre Dr. Selahattin Cizrelioğlu State Hospital for treatment after initial intervention by medical teams called to the scene. It was reported that the personnel's health status is being monitored.

The fires in the businesses and the vehicle were brought under control and extinguished through the efforts of the fire crews. While the incidents caused material damage, a comprehensive investigation into the fires has been launched.
