Another pesticide scandal... 9-year-old Yusuf Talha has lost his life, his mother is in intensive care

A suspected poisoning incident in an apartment building in Çanakkale has resulted in a loss of life. It was reported that 9-year-old Yusuf Talha Çanlı, who lived in the Derya Apartment on Şehit Gürol Street in the Barbaros neighborhood, has passed away, while his mother, Sevda Çanlı, continues to receive treatment in intensive care.

The incident occurred yesterday evening. Upon returning home, the father, Uğur Çanlı, found his wife, Sevda Çanlı, and his son, Yusuf Talha Çanlı, unconscious. The father took his wife and son to the Mehmet Akif Ersoy State Hospital in his own car.

Following initial intervention at the hospital, the mother and child were transferred to the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital. Examinations determined that the mother and son had been poisoned.

Yusuf Talha, whose condition worsened, was transferred by air ambulance to the Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital in Istanbul. Despite all interventions there, the 9-year-old child could not be saved.

It is alleged that the mother and son were poisoned due to pesticide spraying conducted in the neighboring apartment. It was learned that the homeowner, Z.B., and the representative of the pest control company, Ö.E., have been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
