Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew leads the Virgin Mary Mass at the historic Kirazlı Monastery in Erdek
The traditional mass held at the historic Kirazlı Monastery in the Erdek district of Balıkesir lasted approximately 2.5 hours.
The historic Kirazlı Monastery, located in the Erdek district of Balıkesir, hosted the traditional Virgin Mary Mass. The mass was led by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
It was noted that the monastery, situated in the rural Yukarıyapıcı neighborhood of Erdek, was built in 1895 with 99 rooms, but the majority of the structure is currently in ruins.

The mass, which was held with the permission of the Ministry of Interior and the Balıkesir Governorship, was attended by clergy from different regions of the Orthodox world, in addition to Bartholomew.
The mass, which has been held since 2015, lasted approximately 2.5 hours. The program concluded after the recitation of prayers and the completion of religious rituals.
