Fire in Bozdoğan brought under control after 8 hours
A fire that broke out in agricultural and grassy areas in the Bozdoğan district of Aydın has been brought under control following 7 hours of aerial and ground intervention; cooling efforts are ongoing.
The fire, which occurred around 13:30 in the agricultural and grassy area near Yazıkent Neighborhood in the Bozdoğan district, has been brought under control.
The fire, which spread over a wide area due to the wind effective in the region and threatened 4 neighborhoods, was extinguished after an intense struggle by teams from the air and ground, while cooling efforts continue in the area.

Stating that they mobilized all resources from the very first moment of the fire, Bozdoğan Mayor Mustafa Galip Özel said;
"The fire has been brought under control. Our teams are continuing cooling efforts in the region.
From the moment the fire first broke out, we supported the extinguishing efforts with 17 pieces of construction equipment and 100 personnel from our municipality.
I would like to thank all our teams, volunteers, and everyone who provided support during this difficult process.
I convey my get-well wishes to all our district residents. May God protect our nation and our country from all kinds of disasters and spare us from worse."
