Fire in the attic of a 400-year-old inn in Fatih
A fire that broke out on the roof of a 3-story, 400-year-old business inn in Fatih was extinguished by the intervention of firefighting teams. The fire caused damage to the roof of the inn.
The fire broke out around 22:45 on the roof of the 400-year-old Büyük Valide Han, located on Çakmakçılar Yokuşu Street in the Taya Hatun neighborhood. The fire, which started for an unknown reason, grew in a short time.
Upon notification, numerous fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

While police teams took security measures in the surrounding area, firefighting teams intervened in the fire and brought the flames under control in a short time.
As a result of the fire, which was prevented from spreading to surrounding buildings, material damage occurred on the roof of the historic inn.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
