Hot weather and high humidity drive crowds to beaches in Antalya
As temperatures in Antalya reached 36 degrees Celsius, both locals and tourists flocked to the beaches due to a 76 percent humidity level.
Rising air temperatures and high humidity levels in Antalya have driven city residents and tourists to the beaches to cool off. According to data from the 4th Regional Directorate of Meteorology, the air temperature reached 36 degrees, while the sea water temperature hit 29 degrees. The humidity level rose to 76 percent.
Under these conditions, the Konyaaltı and Lara beaches were overflowing with people looking to cool down. While some preferred to cool off by jumping into the sea from the rocks, others tried to relax by sitting in camping chairs they set up by the seaside.
While the density on the beaches drew attention, many people also chose to cool off in the shaded areas of the parks.
