Russian tourist found dead in hotel corridor
38-year-old Evgenii Karmanov, who was staying at a hotel in Muratpaşa, was found motionless in the 3rd-floor corridor. An investigation into his death has been launched.
Evgenii Karmanov (38), a Russian national who had been staying at a hotel in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya for approximately 10 days, was found dead in the hotel corridor.
The incident occurred at a hotel in the Gebizli neighborhood. According to the information obtained, hotel staff found Karmanov lying motionless in the 3rd-floor corridor of the hotel where he was staying. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Medical teams determined that Karmanov had passed away. As the municipal physician deemed the death suspicious, the prosecutor's office and Crime Scene Investigation teams conducted an examination at the hotel.
It was learned that no sharp object or gunshot wounds were found on Karmanov's body, and initial assessments are focusing on the possibility of a heart attack. The tourist's body was transported to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
